Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful Answers, Always Clear and Kind!
General Question
What makes Global Tots’ curriculum unique?
Our curriculum integrates the best of global practices (like Singapore’s NEL) with our unique E.M.E.R.G.E. framework, prioritizing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and critical thinking alongside academics.
What is Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and why is it important?
SEL teaches children to understand and manage emotions, set goals, show empathy, and build positive relationships. We use the SPARK SEL Program to build resilience and character—essential for future success.
What is your teacher-to-child ratio?
We strictly adhere to low teacher-to-child ratios, ensuring personalized attention, safety, and quality interactions for every child, especially in the younger Playgroup and Nursery classes.
How do you ensure child safety and hygiene?
Our facilities feature child-safe infrastructure, CCTV monitoring, and stringent entry/exit protocols. We maintain high standards of cleanliness, focusing on frequent sanitization and good personal hygiene practices.
How do you prepare children for primary school?
Our Ready To Fly II program focuses on advanced literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning skills (like organization and attention span) to ensure a smooth, confident transition to formal schooling.
How will I know how my child is progressing?
We practice open collaboration. Parents receive regular updates, progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and use a dedicated communication app to stay informed about daily activities and learning milestones.
Do you provide meals/snacks?
Yes, full-day programs include nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks prepared under hygienic conditions. We accommodate common allergies and dietary restrictions whenever possible.
What enrichment activities are included?
Enrichment is integrated into our daily learning through our E.M.E.R.G.E. principles, covering expressive arts (music, drama), physical development, and early STEM/technology exposure.
How do you handle behavioral issues?
We use a positive guidance approach focused on empathy, clear communication, and teaching children appropriate conflict resolution and self-regulation skills, consistent with our SEL program.
Can parents volunteer or get involved in school activities?
We encourage active parent participation! Opportunities like parent workshops, special event volunteering, and field trip chaperoning are offered throughout the year.
